Student Free Periods for Library Shifts

Here are student free periods to help facilitate staffing the library. click HERE for students free period schedule.
Just so you know, there is no one available for 2nd period, we will need to rotate students out of my 2nd period class to staff it (only 1 person each day).

Paying for your Trade Fair Purchases
Everyone needs to make sure they have purchased and paid for 10 items from 10 different companies totaling less than $1000 from the Trade Fair. If you did not finish their purchases, you will need to do so online from the websites of the Virtual Enterprise companies. You can find a list of companies HERE.
When you pay for your purchases:
1.) You will need to log into the US Network Bank.
2.) You can find the login information for your accounts HERE.
3.) Before you can pay your invoices, you first need to add them as payees:
a.) Click on "Payees"
b.) "SEARCH" for your Payees by "Name:"
c.) Click on "Add"
4.) After adding them as payees, you can pay them:
a.) Click on "Bill Payment"
b.) Select the Payee from the "to Payee" drop down box.
c.) Enter the amount to pay.
d.) In the "Description field" describe what you bought / invoice number / Trade Fair 2010
e.) Click on "Save" or "Save and Add another"

Job Readiness Workshop, Sunday April 25th
The following is a message from Nadine regarding a job readiness workshop that meets on Sunday, April 25th and Saturday, May 8th. If you are interested in attending, email me at mr.filipinas@gmail.com and I will sign you up on the Data Portal:
The agenda for the workshop can be found HERE.
Please be sure your interested students are signed up on the portal for job readiness.
For priority on internships they must attend the first session on April 25.
Information useful to all students whether going for internships or not!!!
Professionals train students in
· writing resumes,
· interviewing,
· dressing for interviews
· job searches All of this is very useful information when looking for jobs, whether a VE internship or something else. The agenda is attached
· Tips on handling money (which students enjoy and are introduced to money issues they never thought about and which are also very useful.
· Attendance for a full day and then again attend on May 8th results in a $75 gift certificate to Amazon. (Space at May 8th workshop is limited.)
Note: there are still internships available for the summer and students attending these workshops do have priority.

If they go to the second day, May 8th they will receive a $75 gift certificate from the Financial Women’s Association. For the $75 gift certificate they must attend both and be in the first hundred students who apply for the second, and confirm and attend.
